Overflow Hotel Info#

We have set up a small courtesy block at the nearest hotel to the venue, the Embassy Suites Schaumburg (a 7-minute walk across the parking lot), for the period between September 11th and the 15th. You may make a reservation here.

If you would like to book outside of these dates, or the block appears full on the website, please contact the hotel directly at 847-397-6867.

If you were unable to book at the main hotel and would still like to find a room there, we suggest making a reservation using the overflow link (or at any of the many other fine hotels in the area) and waiting until the second week of August (i.e. 30 days before the show) and checking for vacancies at the main hotel. Because there is a 30-day period of non-refundability on the reservation deposit, we expect a drop-off in reserved rooms around this time.

The majority of our block covers Friday and Saturday nights. Thursday and Sunday nights may sell out sooner. If you wish to book those nights and the website will not allow it, please contact Group Housing at the number below.

The hotel will require a one-night deposit to secure your booking. This deposit is refundable up until 30 days before our event. This arrangement was made to protect VCF Midwest from the steep booking drop-off we experienced the day before I show began, leaving no time for guests at other hotels to move their reservations.

We have been advised that the front desk/main booking line is aware of our event this year, under the name “Vintage Computer Festival”. However if you have any trouble booking, want to add extra days before or after, or have any other rooming questions, please contact “Group Housing” at 847-303-8167 (M-F 8-4). Unfortunately, VCFMW staff cannot address your hotel rooming concerns.

If you’ve been sneaky or impatient and already guessed the show dates and booked your hotel room(s), please do us a favor and call Group Housing at the number above and have your reservation moved into the VCF Midwest block. Every room our group reserves goes toward fulfilling our contract with the venue. We appreciate it!
